Joshua's 'True Stories from the Van and Beyond.' (12/10/2009)

We want to say thanks so much to everyone who came out Tuesday and made our last show of 2009 very special. We had a superb turnout even with all the rain and it means a whole lot to us.

We will be back on the road in January with some soon-to-be announced dates. For now we are going to do some work behind the scenes to get the album out soon and also do some holiday travelling. We received Dean’s 400$ unlimited rail pass for Japan in the mail this morning for his big trip. We have sold a lot of our Sweet Summer Breeze album over in Japan so we are sending Dean to do a little scouting for us.

So now for the big news…

We Are Playing RockyGrass!
Wow! One of the best Bluegrass/Americana music festivals in the country has booked The Farewell Drifters for 2010. It will be at the Planet Bluegrass Ranch in Lyons, Colorado on July 23-25. It is fifteen miles north of Boulder in the foothills of the Rockies. Some amazing artists have played here such as Gillian Welch, Seldom Scene, Old Crow Medicine Show, Nickel Creek, Sam Bush, etc. etc. We are so happy to be part of this festival. Tickets for RockyGrass usually sell-out months in advance of the festival and you can get yours at their website.

Thanks for following our blog! In the meantime check out our last video blog for a preview of one of the songs from the album by clicking here. Also, join our mailing list for all the latest Drifter news.
